this album's title is based on the Latin word "vulnus" meaning "wound," which is the etymological root of "vulnerable".

the music is a wordless attempt to navigate & find meaning in
the messy tensions that arise from
the desire to be in a space of honest intimacy, and
the real possibilities of harm that come with such a space.

in the process of making this music,
i looked for ways to hold pain and fragility so that
vulnerabilities could be seen
not merely as potentials for harm, but also
as portals that, when approached with care, can lead to
deeper understandings and connections with
each other and ourselves.

i hope--through acknowledging, respecting and caring for
our wounds and the wounds of others--
we can practice opening up
to more authentic, sustainable, and kind ways
of relating
and being.
